Thankful, Grateful, Blessed

We hear a lot about having a grateful mindset.  It is very true that your life can be better by adopting just one of the practices below and practicing it every day.  It doesn’t have to take a lot of time, but the return will be bountiful!

Start a gratitude journal. – List one thing that you are grateful for today and then write a paragraph about it.  Having just one thing allows you to really think deeper about the reason why you are grateful for it.

Write a traditional thank you note.-This is becoming a lost art, but not one that should be.  People are so amazed when someone has actually taken the time to sit down and write them a personal note and put it in the mail.  Not email.

Post thankful expressions in visible locations at home and at work. If you have a bulletin board at home or at work, it is a great place to put pictures with quotes and thanks for others to see.

Write a letter of thanks to someone in your life.  Let them know what they mean to you, how they have influenced your life or remind them of a fun time you had together.

Practice random thoughts thankfulness – Set an alarm on your phone to remind you three times a day to think of something you are thankful for at the moment.

Take a walk and focus on what you are grateful for.- Your health, your peace of mind, your family or job.  Lift yourself up by thinking about the good in your life at this time.

Volunteer your time and talents to serve. -There is nothing better to make your heart fill with gratefulness than to serve others

Happy Thanksgiving to you all!

Tina
