Is Marketing Worth The Gamble?

It is always hard to spend money when the return is unsure.  But if you never try spending some on marketing your business how will you ever know if it would work?  Could you increase your bottom line by investing in marketing, and if so what should you do?  You could start by taking small risks, maybe doing a mailing to past customers or spending some money on marketing tools to pass out to prospective customers.  You don’t have to go for broke, start small, try various ideas and see what works.  When you finds something that does the payoff will be worth it.  For example in our medical practice we looked back at the patients who had custom orthotic devices made for them 1-2 years ago, we sent them a simple postcard letting them know they should have them checked and it was amazing how many old patients made appointments to have their feet and devices checked.   Simple but it worked.  Take a few minutes with your team to think about  what you can do that would be low risk marketing, you never know what will pay off, especially if you don’t ever try.
