 Conducting employee reviews is a task that many business owners and managers dread, especially if they have yet to develop a sound system for conducting those reviews. However, a practical and well-designed employee review system is a vital element to attract, retain, and encourage top talent in this competitive marketplace.  Many employers think that employee reviews should be done once a year, I wonder how they can wait so long to talk to an employee about how they are doing and how they have done when they have waited a year to do it.  Employee reviews can be done whenever you think you need one, I like the management style that keeps the door open and can talk to employees on a daily basis, if needed.  Telling an employee that they made a mistake, had a bad attitude or did a fantastic job right away gives the employee the feedback that they need to make corrections, get further training or be inspired on an ongoing basis.  How would you like to know that you are not doing a good enough job at work 6 months after your employer thought you needed to improve?  Having a good review system is essential in good practice management.  If you do not have one the link below can get you started, remember your employees are your most important asset.
