Those of us who are animal lovers may get a kick out of dressing our pets up in costumes and having a good belly laugh. I remember way back when before they actually made doggie and kitty costumes my sisters and I would dress our cats up in doll clothes and bust a gut just watching them walk around.
Now we actually pay good money to buy them their own clothes to wear. In fact, I was just out yesterday looking for new doggie jackets for my sweet Boston Terriers to wear during this cold spell. I was disappointed because they didn’t have the colors that I like to dress the girls in, one pink and the other lavender. Crazy as it may be, I am not alone when it comes to having fun with my dogs.
I already have the reindeer antlers and Christmas scarfs ready for our two Labrador retrievers and cute Santa coats and hats for the Boston girls for Christmas Day. I have to tell you that I don’t think that dressing them up is only for my joy…. I think they enjoy it also. There is something about them when they are dressed up and people are making a fuss over them that they really like. Their ears perk up and they seem to smile more.
