Yesterday at work I was given the privilege to escort an elderly gentleman from one of our treatment rooms to the waiting room where his sweet wife was waiting patiently for him.  The couple’s caregiver had brought them both to see our physician to get advice on what could be done to keep this lovely couple active so they could experience a better quality of life.

As I was walking this gentleman to the waiting room my core being was touched by his smile and how he appreciated my care and kindness for him.  Such a simple task made such a big impression on both of us. He thanked me for my kindness and I thanked him for allowing me the opportunity to take this brief walk with him, it truly made my day!

Life is good, life is precious, life is short.  Take the time to capture opportunities that make life wonderful!

“When you begin to touch your heart or let your heart be touched, you begin to discover that it’s bottomless, that it doesn’t have any resolution, that this heart is huge, vast, and limitless. You begin to discover how much warmth and gentleness is there, as well as how much space.” ~ Pema Chodron
