Are Your Employees Proud Of Their Employer?

Writer's picture: Tina Del BuonoTina Del Buono

When your employees are asked by someone outside of the office what they do for a living, how do they answer?  Are they excited about not only what they do, but who they do it for?  Keeping employees actively engaged can be a challenge .  Do they enjoying what they do? (If they do not they should be working somewhere else).   Find out what they enjoy about their job and why.  Are there other duties that they would also like to be doing?  Ask them what you can do to make their job  more meaningful to them.  These questions are part of what will keep them engaged with you and your organization.   As the business owner ask yourself these questions about your business; (1) Does my business provide high quality service and goods that my staff can be proud to recommend with confidence?  (2) Does my business have good delivery systems set that will ensure that promises and commitments made to our patients are met?  (3) Do I offer good business practices, honest, straightforward and carried out with integrity?   People want to be connected with a company that they can be proud to be working for, if you can answer yes to these questions then with encouragement from you to your employees about what they do and can do you will be able to reap the benefits of organizational pride from them.  If you cannot answer yes to these questions, do some homework and fix what is broken as you and your staffs livelihood depends on it.
