For those of us who check in every morning and out every evening with a time clock, we understand that it is our job that brings the bacon to our table. But far too many times (even in times like these when jobs are scarce) we tend to forget about how lucky we are to have our job and the paycheck that it brings to supply the daily needs we and our families have. Listed below are five great questions to ask yourself each day that will help you keep in check to what is important when you are at work each day. These questions will also help us to realize that our attitude about what and how we do our job makes a difference to the bottom line for whom we work for.
1. Do I recognize that my paycheck comes from the customers who come into our business everyday?
2. Do I act like today and everyday is my first day on the job and try to impress everyone?
3. Am I passionate about helping our customers and getting them what they need and making their experience the best?
4. Do I use words of encouragement when talking with our customers, i.e., sure no problem, we can do that, I will be happy to help you, etc.?
5. Do I make it easy and fun to do business with our company to those I serve everyday?
Keeping these five questions at forefront of our minds each day when we go to work and throughout the day will help make us super employees and you can bet it will increase the bottom dollar for our employer who is the one we should be thankful for giving us our job.
Time for reflection is always good…..
